これは実は東京でも発見してScottish beerとあれば買わねばならぬと思い２本購入し、１本は自分で味見し、もう一本を私をモルトの虜にさせた（？）親愛なる大の仲良しの飲み友達にバレンタインにでも贈呈しようと思ったら、ご本人がその時期ご出張になり、さらにその後お渡しするのを忘れてしまったが為に賞味期限が切れてしまったビールですが、ダンナ様が近所のテスコで発見してきたものです。さてと、お味の方は香りもお味もOak aged beerである事と、6.6%の強さからかウイスキーをビールで割ったようなお味がします。お味というか喉越しがウイスキーっぽいです。先ほど先日頂いたLioncrestを頂いたのですが、その後に頂くには最適かと。ご参考までにビンの後ろに書いてある能書きを紹介します。

For 30 days this honey-hued beer matures in hand selected oak barrels, gradually absorbing the subtle flavours from the wood. Barrels are then emptied and maturation continues for a further 47 days allowing these natural flavours to fall into perfect balance. The result of this unique process is a delicious, refreshing beer with aromas of vanilla and toffee, a hint of citrus, and a malty, lightly oaked finish.
